How to improve the wall thickness accuracy of square tube?
How to improve the wall thickness accuracy of square tube?

1. Check that the centering roller is properly installed, then adjust the opening angle related to the central core roll and the opening size of each action to be consistent, then hold the rolling pin and roll the center line.

2. Replace worn plugs, guide rolls, and other rolling tools as soon as possible.

3. A square tube with an outer diameter of 108 mm-114 mm, a wall thickness of 25mm, and a uniform wall thickness is typically used for the perforated ejector.

4. The mandrel's slenderness is relatively large. Generally, the outer diameter of the mandrel is turned first, and then the opening is welded to directly open or grow the forming material. The mandrel's external processing accuracy is controlled at 0.1mm, and the straightness deviation is limited to 5mm.

5. Heating should be uniform, and temperature fluctuations should be avoided. Each is heated and cooled to maintain a constant temperature of no more than 30°C.

6. Prevent the middle of the square tube from thinning and the wall thickness from increasing beyond the control range.

7. Maintain a consistent centerline of the piercer paddle and hole to avoid rolling up and down the coil and keep the pipe effective even while piercing.

8. Check that the distance between the guide roll's center line and the center line of the perforation is equal to the distance between the upper and lower rolls from the same lead.

9. Mandrels with thicker walls should be processed. They can be used instead of solid blanks for mandrels with smaller specifications. Thick-walled tubes with uniform thickness and solid steel billets can significantly reduce the likelihood of mandrel bending deformation while also improving the wall thickness accuracy of square rectangular tubes.
