What are the factors that cause pores in welded pipes' weld seams?

The quality of the weld seam determines the quality of the welded pipe. Once the weld seam of the welded pipe produces pores, it will not only affect the tightness of the weld seam of the pipe, causing pipeline leakage but also become a corrosion induction point, seriously reducing the strength and toughness of the weld seam.

Generally speaking, the moisture, dirt, scale, and iron filings in the flux, the welding composition and coverage thickness, the surface quality of the steel plate, the edge plate treatment of the steel plate, the welding process, and the steel pipe forming process, etc. may all be the cause of the pores in the weld. Therefore, during welding, if the welding temperature is high, the weld seam will be overheated and perforated. When a certain amount of CaF2 and SiO2 are contained, a large amount of H2 will be reacted and absorbed, and HF with high stability and insoluble in liquid metal will be generated. Prevent the formation of hydrogen pores; the forming coefficient of the weld is too small, the shape of the weld is narrow and deep, the gas and inclusions are not easy to float out, and it is easy to form pores and slag inclusions; rust and burrs should be removed on the edge of the straight seam welded steel plate device to reduce the possibility of porosity.

Welding temperature is a key parameter that affects the quality of the weld. The position of cleaning device is best installed behind the edge milling machine and the disc cutter. The structure of the device is two active wire wheels with adjustable gaps on one side and presses the edge of the plate up and down. ; the accumulation thickness of flux is generally 25-45mm. The maximum value is taken for the accumulation thickness of the flux with large particle size and low density, and the minimum value is taken otherwise; the maximum value is taken for the accumulation thickness of high current and low welding speed, and the minimum value is taken otherwise. When the air humidity is high, the recovered flux should be dried before use.

In order to reduce the influence of magnetic deflection, the connection position of the welding cable on the workpiece should be as far away from the welding terminal as possible, so as to avoid the secondary magnetic field generated by part of the welding cable on the workpiece; the welding speed should be appropriately reduced or the current should be increased to delay the welding seam melting. The crystallization speed of the pool metal is to facilitate the escape of gas. At the same time, if the delivery position of the strip steel is unstable, it should be adjusted in time to prevent the formation of the front axle or rear axle through frequent fine-tuning, which will cause difficulty in gas escape; in order to avoid uncoiling and leveling. When debris such as peeled iron oxide scale enters the forming process, a plate surface cleaning device should be installed.
