How to fix square tube glass curtain wall

Square tube glass curtain wall is a modern building exterior wall material. It has the advantages of beautiful appearance, heat insulation, sound insulation, light transmission, etc., and is increasingly used in modern buildings. To ensure the stability and safety of the glass curtain wall, the correct fixing method is very critical.

Four commonly used fixing methods:

1. Mechanical fixation

Mechanical fixing refers to the use of various fastening elements to connect the glass and square tubes and fix them to the wall or frame structure. It has the advantages of firm fixation and easy installation and is suitable for residential and commercial buildings with small areas and low heights.

2. Point support fixed

Point support fixing refers to drilling holes in the glass surface, connecting the glass and square tubes through point supports, and then fixing the square tubes to the wall or frame structure through various fixing methods. This method can be applied to taller buildings but requires high-strength glass materials and good supporting structures.

3. Frame support fixed

Frame support fixation refers to directly fixing the frame system on the square tube, placing the glass into the frame, connecting the glass and the frame through fasteners, and fixing it on the wall or frame structure. This method is suitable for buildings with larger areas and heights, but requires heavy steel components as frames and is more expensive.

4. Plastic clamping and fixing

Plastic clamping and fixing refers to using plastic materials to clamp the glass and fix the clamp on the square tube. This fixation method can reduce costs and is suitable for some low-rise buildings, but the durability and stability of plastic materials need to be improved.

Choice of fixation method

Choosing the appropriate fixing method requires considering factors such as the height, area, structural strength, and environmental risks of the building. When choosing a fixing method, you also need to ensure that the relevant construction and design standards meet the requirements and follow the relevant safety regulations and standards.
