Requirements for glass curtain wall materials and equipment:

1. General regulations:

a. Materials for glass curtain walls should comply with the relevant provisions and design requirements of current national standards. Materials that do not yet have corresponding standards should comply with design requirements and should have factory certificates.

b. Weather-resistant materials should be used for glass curtain walls. Metal materials and metal parts, except for stainless steel and weathering steel, should be treated with hot-dip galvanizing, inorganic zinc-rich paint, or other effective anti-corrosion measures, and aluminum alloy materials should be treated with surface anodizing, electrophoretic painting, powder spraying or fluorocarbon paint spraying. 

c. Glass curtain wall materials should be non-combustible or flame-retardant materials; fireproof sealing structures should use fireproof sealing materials.

d. For concealed frame and semi-concealed frame glass curtain walls, the bonding between glass and aluminum profiles must use neutral silicone structural sealant; when coated glass is used for all-glass curtain walls and point-supported curtain walls, acidic silicone structural sealant should not be used for bonding.

e. Silicone structural sealant and silicone building sealant must be used within the validity period. 

2. Steel window profiles:

a. The steel window profiles of the glass curtain wall, such as square steel tubes, angle steel, channel steel, painted galvanized steel plates, and stainless steel, must meet the design requirements and select qualified products, and should be matched with aluminum alloy frame materials. 

b. The aluminum alloy frame system is mostly a curtain wall frame profile formed by special extrusion. When selecting, it should be determined by the design according to the stress of the curtain wall frame and used in different series.

c. The brand of aluminum alloy materials used in the glass curtain wall, the quality of aluminum alloy materials, the doors and windows of the curtain wall, etc., should comply with the provisions of the current standards.

3. Embedded parts, fasteners and connectors:

a. The embedded parts and various connectors and bolts of the curtain wall are mostly made of low-carbon steel

b. The materials of angle steel, anchor bars, anchor plates, steel, and steel plate processing parts should comply with the relevant provisions of national standards and must be galvanized for rust prevention when used.
