Introduction to hot rolled coil processing technology
Hot rolled coil processing technology is an important metal processing method, mainly used to produce metal products such as steel plates and steel strips. The following are the main steps of hot-rolled coil processing technology:
1. Raw material preparation: The main raw material of hot rolled coil is steel billet, usually a large rectangular or square piece of steel. Before entering the hot rolling production line, the steel billet needs to be pre-treated, such as sandblasting, rust removal, cutting, and preheating, to remove surface dirt and oxides to ensure the quality of hot rolling.
2. Heating: The steel billet is sent to the heating furnace and heated to the appropriate temperature for subsequent rolling operations. Modern heating furnaces are usually equipped with computer automatic control programs to optimize heating quality, energy consumption, and heating capacity.
3. Rolling: The heated steel billet is rolled through the rough rolling unit and the finishing rolling unit, and the steel billet is gradually rolled into a hot rolled coil of the required thickness. During the rolling process, parameters such as rolling temperature, rolling speed, and rolling force need to be strictly controlled to ensure the quality and performance of the hot-rolled coil.
4. Cooling and coiling: After rolling, the hot rolled coil is cooled to the set temperature through the laminar cooling system, and then coiled into a steel strip coil by the coiler. The cooling speed and temperature need to be controlled during the cooling process to avoid internal stress and deformation of the hot rolled coil.
5. Finishing: According to the different needs of users, the hot rolled coil is further processed through different finishing lines, such as flattening, straightening, cross-cutting or longitudinal cutting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking, etc., and finally becomes a steel plate, flat coil and longitudinally cut steel strip product that meets the requirements.
