Corrosion resistance of flat parts
The corrosion resistance of the flat part is determined by conducting a neutral salt spray test or a cyclic corrosion test on samples with an adhesion amount of 180g/m2, 275g/m2, 320g/m2, or other values.
During the test time or cycle period, red rust should not appear on the surface of the sample.
Corrosion resistance requirements for flat parts:
Adhesion | Plate thickness t(mm) | 180g/m2 | 275g/m2 | 320g/m2 |
Neutral salt spray time (h) | t≤2 | ≥2000 | ≥3000 | ≥3500 |
2<t≤5 | ≥720 | ≥1100 | ≥1280 | |
Cyclic corrosion test (cycle) | t≤2 | ≥100 | ≥140 | ≥160 |
2<t≤5 | / | / | / |
The plate thickness > 2mm needs to be tested by salt spray to determine the actual corrosion resistance. The test value should not be lower than the value in Table. The values not listed in the table need to be determined by cyclic corrosion test.
The corrosion resistance of the cut section
Conduct a neutral salt spray test on the cut section, and red rust should not appear within the specified test time.
Corrosion resistance requirements for cut sections:
Adhesion | Plate thickness t(mm) | 180g/m2 | 275g/m2 | 320g/m2 |
Neutral salt spray time (h) | t≤2 | ≥1300 | ≥2000 | ≥2300 |
2<t≤5 | ≥720 | ≥1100 | ≥1280 | |
Cyclic corrosion test (cycle) | t≤2 | ≥35 | ≥54 | ≥62 |
2<t≤5 | / | / | / |
Plate thickness > 2mm shall be subjected to a salt spray test to determine the actual corrosion resistance, the test value shall not be lower than the value in Table, and the values not listed in the table shall be determined by cyclic corrosion test.
Outdoor exposure test results
In the actual outdoor exposure environment, a slight red rust will occur on the cutting surface in the early stage. But after a while a stable protective film should cover the cut surface and the corrosion should show little deterioration in the long run.
Corrosion resistance of bent and formed parts
(1) A neutral salt spray test should be done on UC-shaped beams or purlins with dense openings. The test method is as follows: cut two sections of main beams containing three In the middle of the waist-shaped hole, the section of one section is treated with self-spraying zinc or paint, and the section of the other section is not treated with anticorrosion.
The repair ability of the main beam section is evaluated by testing, which can provide a reference for subsequent structural design.
(2) Carry out salt spray test on purlin connectors and purlin brackets, and evaluate whether these components can use galvanized aluminum-magnesium steel, thickness t=2,3,4 (mm)
Small piece test specification:
Thickness t(mm) | Purlin Connector Specifications | Purlin specifications |
2、3、4 | C70X40,C90X40,C80X40,C100X40/50 | C70X40,C90/100,C80X40,C60X40 |
To determine whether purlins and purlin brackets can use galvanized aluminum-magnesium materials through testing can provide a basis for subsequent materials.
