Galvanized strip pipe, also known as pre-galvanized pipe, looks bright to the naked eye, with a smooth and beautiful surface. Strictly speaking, it is also a kind of hot-dip galvanized pipe, but the processing process is different. The galvanized strip pipe is generally made by first coating the bare narrow strip with zinc through continuous hot-dip galvanizing equipment, processing it into the galvanized strip, and then welding the galvanized strip into the galvanized pipe. From a process point of view, since galvanized strip pipe is galvanized before pipe making, the wall thickness of galvanized strip pipe of most domestic manufacturers is less than 2.5mm. Galvanized strip square pipe uses galvanized strip steel, which is generally between 0.6mm-2mm, processed once, and the specifications are 20*20-100*100.

There are two main principles of galvanizing for rust prevention: 1. By forming a layer of zinc salt film, this film can isolate the gas and liquid on the surface of steel from the steel, thereby preventing the steel from being oxidized and corroded. 2. Zinc is a more active metal than iron, so a primary battery can be formed on the surface of steel, with zinc as the anode and iron as the cathode. This galvanic structure can prevent iron from being oxidized, because zinc will be oxidized before iron, thus protecting iron. Therefore, the principle of galvanizing for rust prevention includes both electrochemical reactions and the formation of oxide films.

Strip steel hot-dip galvanizing equipment can more accurately control the amount of metal zinc attached to the inner and outer surfaces of the strip steel. Common strip steel pipes generally use 40-60g/m2 galvanized strip steel as raw materials. The national standard requirement for the metal zinc attached to hot-dip galvanized steel pipes is generally 300g/m2. The weight of the zinc layer per square meter differs by nearly 10 times. Generally speaking, the higher the amount of zinc applied, the better the anti-corrosion performance and the more expensive the price.
